A 36-year-old man was seriously injured in a stabbing early yesterday in Wai'anae, police said.

According to police and the city's emergency services department, the man was drinking with a companion about 3 a.m. yesterday at a Puuhulu Road address when they got into an argument and he was stabbed. He was taken to a hospital in serious condition.

Police recovered a knife at the scene and said the man did not want to tell them who stabbed him.
