Fasi services scheduled next week

Services and honors have been scheduled next week for former Honolulu Mayor Frank F. Fasi, who died Feb. 3 at the age of 89.

Invited guests will attend a 10 a.m. memorial service for Fasi Wednesday in the courtyard of Honolulu Hale. The public will be able to watch the service on television monitors outside City Hall.
Visitation by the public will be allowed from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. as Fasi’s body lies in state.
On Thursday, a funeral procession beginning at 11 a.m. will carry Fasi on a last ride past Honolulu Hale and the municipal building named in his honor.
Fasi, a former Marine, will be buried in a private ceremony at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
Fasi, who was born in Hartford, Conn., is survived by his wife, Joyce; sons, Charles, Frank Jr., David and Salvador; daughters, Gina Fasi and Gioia Fasi Arrillaga; children from a previous marriage, Toni, Cappy, Carl, Francesca Brittain, Paul; 20 grandchildren; sister, Ella Terry.
