Police investigating injuries to 3-month-old boy
Police have opened a second-degree assault investigation after a 3-month-old boy was brought to Kapiolani Medical Center early Monday morning with suspicious injuries.
The infant was brought to the hospital to check for pneumonia, but police were contacted after X-rays showed the boy had several broken ribs.
The baby was taken into protective custody and was later turned over to Child Protective Services.
