Visitor industry officials promote Islands at Dallas meeting

Representatives of the Hawaii Convention Center along with industry partners are attending the Professional Convention Management Association’s Annual Meeting being held in Dallas through Wednesday.

The team from Hawai‘i will host a client luncheon that will showcase Hawai‘i as a destination for meetings and also present author and pop sociologist Malcolm Gladwell as a guest speaker.
The PCMA Annual Meeting is the premier event for meetings industry leaders to learn new strategies, discover innovative solutions, and share best practices. The Hawai‘i Convention Center will be joined by the Hawai‘i Visitors and Convention Bureau, The Hawai‘i Tourism Authority, as well as some of its valued hotel partners.
“This gathering is very important to our team and gives us a great opportunity for new business opportunities,” said Neil Mullanaphy, executive director of sales and marketing for the Hawai‘i Convention Center.
“We’ve had great success in the past and have booked some great pieces of business with special promotions that we unveiled at this particular meeting,” he said
