Volunteers with the American Red Cross are assisting a family of five left homeless after a fire in Hana damaged their home, the humanitarian organization said tonight.

The fire, which happened this afternoon, caused major damage to the home, according to the Red Cross. No other details were available from Maui County.
Red Cross caseworkers will continue to follow up with the family to ensure their needs are met and make referrals to assist with their disaster recovery, the Red Cross said.
