World renowned creativity expert and educator to speak at local conference

Sir Ken Robinson, an internationally recognized leader in the development of creativity, innovation and human resources in schools and other organizations, will be the keynote speaker at the 2010 Schools of the Future conference Oct. 14 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

Robinson, a former professor of education at the University of Warwick in England, will talk about how to create greater momentu, toward exploration, creativity and innovation in schools. The meeting is open to all educators, trustees, heads, faculty, staff, parents and students of private, public and charter schools.

The session will be broadcast via video streaming to Kamehameha Schools Hawaii and Maui campuses.

Following the talk, there will be breakout sessions for schools in the Schools of the future initiative sponsored by the Hawaii Community Foundation and the Hawaii Association of Independent Schools.
