Ex-Kahuku star Francisco free agent as Colts won't offer him contract

Advertiser staff and wire reports

INDIANAPOLIS — Former Kahuku star Aaron Francisco won't be back with the Indianapois Colts.

The Colts announced that they won’t offer cornerback Tim Jennings and Francisco new contracts, allowing them to become free agents.
Agents for both players confirmed the decisions Thursday to The Associated Press.
Jennings and Francisco on Friday will become unrestricted free agents who can sign with any team and the Colts will not be compensated for the loss. Jennings played primarily in nickel packages last season and was ninth on the team with 51 tackles.
Francisco played primarily on special teams after being claimed off of waivers from Arizona in September.
Francisco, who played for Brigham Young, played most of his career for the Arizona Cardinals. He has played in the past two Super Bowls — two seasons ago with Arizona, which lost to Pittsburgh, and last season.
The Colts were still trying to work out a deal with starting linebacker Gary Brackett and debating whether to offer tenders to five other starters from last season.
