Visitors to Outback Steakhouse outlets who are participating in a "Thanks for Giving" effort can contribute to emergency and morale support for active-duty U.S. troops, veterans and their families by ordering from a special "Red, White and Bloomin' " menu.

The restaurant chain will contribute part of the sale proceeds to meet a $1 million commitment to Operation Homefront, a nonprofit organization that provides the services. The menu is available through March 31. Information: http://outback.com.
