Breezes, showers in Isle forecast

Advertiser Staff

The National Weather Service is forecasting a partly sunny day with scattered windward and mountain showers and scattered leeward showers becoming isolated in the afternoon.

Highs will be 76 to 81 degrees and northeast winds will be 15 mph to 20 mph.
“A band of showery low clouds across the Big Island marks a cold front which will slow and wash out through Friday,” the weather service says in its area synopsis.
“High pressure moving in behind the front will bring breezy trade winds and a return to trade wind weather. Trade showers will focus over windward and mountain slopes through this weekend, with some showers being blown leeward.”
