Oahu crew dancing in MTV competition

Advertiser Staff

Hype 5-0, the first hip-hop crew selected to represent Hawaii in MTV’s “Randy Jackson Presents: America's Best Dance Crew” will compete tonight in the fifth round of the show’s season-five nationals.

With only five of the nine crews selected for the national competition remaining, the O’ahu will be competing against other crews from west, east and south regions. Tonight’s performances will be set to Usher’s rhythm-and-blues tunes.
At the end of the show, which will air at 10 p.m. Hawaii time, one crew is slated to be eliminated from the ongoing competition.
Fans will be encouraged to vote for their favorite crew. During tonight’s show, hosts will provide phone numbers and other information about voting, which will be under way for a short period.
Hype 5-0 includes: Josh "Hazmat" Ulep, 22, of Wailua; Brittnie Aguilar, 18, of Mililani; Casey Kalahiki, 23, of Honolulu; Marc "Dueynutz" Duey, 21, of Kapolei; Jonathan "Ramones" Ramones, 18, of Ewa; William "Nessy" Soares III, 19, of Honolulu; and Allen-Charles "Brain" Pascual, 26, of Ewa.
