Speedskating: China wins 2 gold medals at short track worlds

SOFIA, Bulgaria ó Chinaís Wenhao Liang and Meng Wang clinched gold medals in the menís and womenís 500-meter races at the short track speedskating world championships.

Wenhao won the menís race in a time of 41.383 seconds Saturday, ahead of defending champion Francois Hamelin of Canada, who finished in 41.456. Hamelinís teammate, Francois-Louis Tremblay, won bronze
J.R. Celski of the United States, who won five medals at last yearís world championships, was disqualified in the semifinals.
Defending champion Meng took the womenís title in 43.619. Kalyna Roberge of Canada won silver in 43.679 and teammate Marianne St-Gelais took bronze.
