MARYL GROUP

Mark Kong has been promoted to the positions of president of Maryl Pacific Construction Inc. and Maryl Construction Inc., and senior vice president of Maryl Group Inc. He will be in charge of the overall management of both companies including pre-construction, operations, cost department and safety management.

ALEXANDER & BALDWIN

Suzy Hollinger has joined Alexander & Baldwin Inc. as director of investor relations. She will be responsible for communication with the investment community and other key financial audiences. She was most recently with Hawaiian Electric Industries.

HAWAIIANA MANAGEMENT

Allen Wilson has been promoted to the position of vice president of Hawaiiana Management Company Ltd. Included in his duties will be the oversight of operations in Hawaiiana's Kona office. He has more than 30 years of experience in property management and related fields, and is well versed in mortgage lending and investment brokerage.

WAIKIKI HEALTH CENTER

Jessica Ackerman has joined Waikiki Health Center as its family nurse practitioner. She oversees all medical services provided at the clinic, many of which are received by the center's homeless and runaway teen clients.

HAWAII KAI RETIREMENT COMMUNITY

Renee Yim has been hired as marketing manager of Hawaii Kai Retirement Community. She will educate the community-at-large about the residence and the benefits it offers to potential residents.

MISSION HOUSES MUSEUM

Dr. Thomas Woods has been appointed executive director of Mission Houses Museum. He has more than 30 years of experience leading museums and historic sites and is knowledgeable about Hawai'i's complex history.

HAWAI'I PACIFIC UNIVERSITY

Conrad Hewitt, former chief accountant of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, has been elected as a board member on the Hawai'i Pacific University Board of Trustees.

Also elected was James Ajello, senior financial vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer of Hawaiian Electric Industries.

ASTON WAIKIKI BEACH HOTEL

Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel has announced three new appointments in its sales department:

Rod Lau as director of sales, Gladys Sim-Avergonzado as sales coordinator and Bernadette Worley as catering manager.

Lau developed the corporate, government, military, religious, continuing medical education and pharmaceutical group segments.

Sim-Avergonzado was most recently sales and marketing coordinator at Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in the Palm Springs, Calif.

Worley will sell functions at the Coconut Club, Lokahi Room and pool deck, and serve as liaison with caterers and clients.

REVOLUSUN

RevoluSun has named Shane Nesbitt as its newest partner. Nesbitt will be responsible for residential sales for RevoluSun and commercial sales for sister company Distributed Energy Partners.

NANAKULI HOUSING CORP.

Nanakuli Housing Corp. has added Kamu Anderson of Kiewit Building Group to its board of directors. He is a project executive at KBG and brings more than 13 years of industry experience to NHC.

THE APPRAISAL INSTITUTE

The Appraisal Institute, Hawaii Chapter has installed its 2010 officers and board members. They are: president, Ted Yamamura; vice president, Wayne Sadoyama; secretary/treasurer, George Hao; directors, Steve Hayamoto, Andrew Conboy, Craig Smith, Lillian Izumi, Leslie Roach-Laing and Stephen Stadlbauer.

MGA ARCHITECTURE

Rachel Jorgensen has joined MGA Architecture. She was previously a project manager, responsible for the coordination and documentation process connected with high-end residential designs.
