Honolulu-based defense contractor NovaSol has appointed retired Admiral William Fallon to its board of directors

Before retiring from a 40-year Navy career Fallon served as head of the Pacific Command at Oçahu's Camp Smith and later was the top commander for U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“Admiral Fallon brings to the Board a wealth of understanding of Department of Defense customer needs as well as years of executive leadership skills,” said NovaSol President and CEO Dr. Rick Holasek.
Fallon lives in Virginia and will fly to Honolulu for board meetings, a NovaSol spokesman said. NovaSol, founded in 1998, specializes in the research and development of optical systems for military, homeland security, and commercial applications.
