COLUMBIA, S.C. — Former Clemson star Itoro Umoh has been hired to revive the Lady Tigers' basketball program.

The school said Monday that Umoh had been hired to replace Cristy McKinney, who resigned earlier this month after five losing seasons.

Umoh was an all-Atlantic Coast Conference point guard at Clemson from 1995-99, helping the Lady Tigers to conference tournament titles in 1996 and 1999. She has been an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Penn State the past three seasons.
