Boy, 16, arrested as suspect in Kalihi robbery
A 16-year-old boy was arrested in Kalihi Wednesday night after he allegedly robbed another boy, also 16.
The boy who said he was robbed told police the other boy approached him about 6:20 p.m., demanded money and began searching his pockets.
He said the other boy then demanded that he turn over his backpack, and when he refused the other boy punched him in the face.
Police said the assailant ran away before before police arrived but was located later and arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery.
The boy who reported the incident refused medical treatment at the scene, police said.
