Ewa woman says husband threatened to shoot her

Advertiser Staff

A 31-year-old Ewa woman yesterday told police her husband pointed a rifle at her and threatened to kill her.

The woman told police she was arguing with her husband, 34, about 12:01 a.m. when he began to punch her, then got a rifle and began threatening her.

She said she was able to flee her home on Panapanapuhi Street in the West Loch subdivision when her husband went upstairs momentarily with the rifle.

Police said the woman reported the incident from her brother's home.

The husband turned himself in at the Kalihi Police Sub-station about 9 a.m. and was arrested on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and abuse of a family or household member.
