Beach sports are among the resort activity options for a $40 credit in a kamašina deal at Makena resort on Maui.

Maui's Makena Beach & Golf Resort's kamaaina package includes a $40 resort activity credit for beach activities, golf at the 18-hole Makena Golf Course, or dinner and entertainment at the Makena Sunset Luau. The credit may also be used at the new Makena Kai Day Spa or for a horseback tour at the Makena Ranch. WAIKIKI ROMANCE: The Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach Escape to Romance package includes a room upgrade to a one-bedroom suite, chocolate-dipped fruits, champagne with keepsake flutes and fresh flower lei upon arrival. BAGGAGE FEE REIMBURSEMENTS: The following Hawaii hotels offer reimbursement for airline baggage fees:

• The Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort and Spa on the Big Island is offering guests $25 per bag with a minimum two-night stay through Dec. 24. www.waikoloamarriott.com.
