Royal School students peer 50 years into the future
Students from Royal School shared their visions of the future this morning — and time will tell if they're right.
As part of The Queen's Medical Center's year-long commemoration of its 150th anniversary, the students were videotaped offering their thoughts of what Hawaii will be like 50 years from now.
The tape will go into a time capsule that is scheduled to be opened in 2059 during the medical center's 200th anniversary.
Formerly known as the Chief's Children's School, historic Royal School provided the first formal western education for Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV, the founders of Queen's medical center.
