NFL: Cowboys’ Romo expects Free, others to protect him

Associated Press

GRAPEVINE, Texas — Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo isn't worrying about life without five-time Pro Bowl left tackle Flozell Adams protecting his blind side.

Romo says he has to trust the people around him. He says he's preparing for next season thinking that with Doug Free, newly acquired Alex Barron and other linemen, the Cowboys should be able to keep doing what they've done in the past and even grow offensively.

Dallas cut Adams last month.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Wednesday that he's "no longer concerned about the offensive line at all." Barron was traded from St. Louis and unrestricted free agent Montrae Holland was signed to a two-year contract.
