Police looking for UH good Samaritan

Advertiser Staff

Honolulu Police Department investigators are hoping to talk to a man who came to the aid of a woman during an attempted sexual assault near midnight Sunday on the University of Hawaii-Manoa campus.

The woman was walking near the Richardson School of Law when an assailant grabbed her and threw her to the ground.

Police said the woman was struggling with her attacker when a man she did not know helped her break free.

The man who helped the woman escape is described as Caucasian, in his 20s, with blond hair and a medium build.

He was wearing a white T-shirt and shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to call HPD's Criminal Investigation Division at 529-3115 and ask for Detective Dwight Sato.
