South Korea’s Wonder Girls coming to Pipeline Cafe for two shows

It's offical: South Korea's all-girl band Wonder Girls is will be putting on two shows at Pipeline Cafe June 25-26, Pipeline Cafe owner Greg Azus announced today.

The concert has been in the works for more than a month, Azus said, but he's happy Live Nation is able to bring the group in.

"They're really big in South Korea," Azus said. "We're lucky to get them in here for a couple of shows."

Last summer, the Wonder Girls performed as the opening act on tour with the Jonas Brothers for more than 50 shows. They also performed with Justin Bieber at a sold-out show at the Hollywood Palladium on Valentine's Day and have been featured on Virgin Media as one of the top eight girls groups to watch in the world. People Magazine (April 2009) labeled the group as one of the "leading Asian pop stars to cross over to the states."

Tickets go on sale 9 a.m. Saturday through groovetickets.com, 877-714-3668, and the Pipeline Cafe box office. Tickets range from $32 for general admission, $75 VIP and $150 for a meet-and-greet that includes a photo opportunity, tour gift and general admission ticket.

Wonder Girls recently released its new album worldwide, bringing their unique flavor to top the international craze of "Nobody." A soon-to-be-released U.S. debut album will will contain the new single in English, Chinese and Korean, along with English versions of their hits: "Nobody," "So Hot," "Tell Me," and additional tracks such as "Nobody Rainstone Remix" and "Nobody Jason Nevins Remix."
