First Hawaiian Bank Foundation gives $25K grant to Special Olympics

The First Hawaiian Bank Foundation awarded a $25,000 grant to Special Olympics Hawaii.

The funding will be used to support Special Olympics Hawaii athletes with intellectual disabilities participate in a wide variety of sports training and competition opportunities.

More than 2,000 local adults and children participate in Special Olympics Hawaii programs designed to develop greater self-confidence, a positive self-image as well as improved physical fitness and motor skills.

First Hawaiian Bank Foundation is the charitable arm of First Hawaiian Bank. In 2009, the Foundation and bank contributed $3.0 million to more than 450 non-profit organizations.
