Peter Jennings never finished high school I guess was my point but it was a bit cold to use him as an example.

And yes in a few months I'll be ready to fly south for the winter.... maybe I land Ewa Beach side.

A guy with an Masters in English may not get farther than the 20 year old with no college education who happened to open his own business and earns more than some doctors.

Did you go to college? If you did, what was your motivation? Wasn't it to get a better paying job? Isn't that most of what motivates kids to go to college?
It's true though, that a college degree does not guarantee that you will get a good job.
Also, when I taught guitar lessons, not a single person ever asked if I had a college degree. So as far as teaching guitar, yes, having a college degree doesn't really matter. People will come to you regardless of whether you have a degree or not.
But in general, I still think that your chances of getting a higher paying job is better if you have a college degree.

Intimidation?

Golf just doesn't have the intimidation factor. Do you remember years ago, when Mike Tyson was undefeated? He had a really high percentage of KOs. He was intimidating. He would put fear into his opponents. Golf doesn't have that. In football, when Junior Seau was in his prime, he was a very intimidating presence in the middle. He demolished running backs. When someone like a Ronnie Lott played, if you were a wide receiver on the opposing team, you feared going over the middle and having your quarterback throw the ball a bit too high so that you would have to stretch out your hands to get it. You felt that fear because if you did that, Ronnie Lott would come from your blind side and knock you senseless. Steve Atwater was another one. I've seen him knock a receiver unconscious. Because of their reputations as hitters, you would see receivers lose eye contact with the ball being thrown to them, because they sensed that they were going to get belted real bad, from their blind side. Now that's intimidation. Golfers just don't have that. I'm sorry, Michelle Wie or any golfer just doesn't scare me. And please don't use Junior Seau participating in his charity golf tournaments as an example of an intimidating golfer.

There's nothing wrong with theorems and theories. After all, it was Einstein's Special and General Theories of Relativity that eventually led to the development of nuclear weapons (of course, it can be argued that it wasn't a good thing). And also consequently, it made the US and the Soviet Union military superpowers (also, maybe that wasn't a good thing).
Theorems and theories also allow us to make microchips which run almost everything nowdays.
It allows us to make PCs that run Bill Gates software which made him very rich (also, maybe that wasn't a good thing).

And to some people, there is elegance in math and physics theories and theorems.

None of my girlfriends ever called me sexist. Check out my very first thread that I posted back in July on the Advertiser forum under Island Life Forums, K-Drama. Yes, I do watch Korean Dramas (Emporer of the Sea, I really like).
In that post, most of the examples I gave were females. If you listen to Ja zz fusion, you probably know of Mike Stern. I've always thought that his wife, Leni Stern, was a better composer, but Mike is more famous. I bought her instructional book on composition, and I learned from it. While Mike may have better overall technique as a guitar player than Leni, to me, she is clearly a better composer. When I listen to good music, honestly, I don't think of if the performer or composer is male or female. As long as its good music.
