Hawai'i charities: How they spend your donations

Over 650 nonprofits that reported their revenues, expenses, assets and, in some cases, executive salaries are included in this searchable database. The information was compiled from the organizations latest tax returns as compiled by GuideStar for The Advertiser. Some charities may not list anyone under the highest-paid employees because they are only required to name those who make more than $50,000 and who are not officers, directors or trustees. The Advertiser also calculated the percentage of the nonprofits expenses that go toward programs to carry out their mission. Tell us what you found in your search.
