Sympathies from Mililani
I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to the entire family of Kahealani Indreginal. It is with the utmost sorrow that I read the daily events as they unfold for your family.
My two children recently celebrated birthdays; my son the same age as your daughter was. My workplace posted her picture. As I drove past you, I honked the horn in support. I truly feel for your loss, which comes at the most awful time of year.

How can we help?
Aloha to the ohana and loved ones of Kahealani,
First of all our deepest condolences to you all and may the good Lord bless you and help you all to find it in your hearts to move on (easier said then done).
My family and I are in Las Vegas. We are originally from Nanakuli and are truly devastated of this horrific news. Daily we keep up with the Honolulu Advertiser and this is the last thing we hope to see. If there is anyway we can help, please let us know. I am sure she was a beautiful girl and she will be well missed; however, moving on will be the hardest. Please let us know how to help you all and we would greatly see what we can do.
Mahalo a nui loa,

Punishment will lack true justice
I am a 38-year-old-man and I cannot hold back my tears when I read stories like little Kahealani's. I hope the most severe of punishments will be imposed on the perpetrator of this heinous crime. I wish the victim's family could impose any punishment they wanted. Cruel and unusual is not a factor.

Leilehua High School sympathies
Hi, I have been keeping up to date with the news, because a friend of mine was a classmate of Kahealani. I am so sorry that this had to happen to her, and you will be in my prayers.
Every time I look at the newspaper, or hear updates on the news, I can feel my eyes start to water, and I think, "she was so beautiful. How could this have happened?"
Kahealani is watching over you, and misses you so much. May God help your family through this time of sorrow. Take care, and God Bless. Please try to enjoy the holiday season. Kahea would want you to, I'm sure. Mele Kalikimaka.

Condolences from Germany
My deepest sympathies go out to the family from Kahealani. Born and raised myself in Aliamanu, we never think an incident like this can happen to us and our families. We ask ourselves why and we can't find the answers. The lord himself knows the answer. Once again my deepest condolences to the parents and the 'ohana.
Sincerely,
Richard Patrocinio

Big Island family's condolences
May God be with you and your family in this time of pain. We always ask ourselves, why us? Why our family? But no matter what, God has a plan for all of us. Kahealani is in a better place with no more hurt and pain. She'll be missed by all of you and friends but will never forget you.
Sincerely,
Family from the Big Island

Student sends sympathies
My name is Macy Perrin and I am a junior at 'Aiea High School. I just wanted to say that my heart goes out to your family. I heard the news and when I saw that face, it looked so familiar. I have a few friends that are from Halawa, and are very close to your family. Tanya was a classmate of mine last year and just this year, Kawika was a classmate of mine also.
I have been watching the news everyday and reading the papers and just being up to date of what is happening ... I don't know your family that well, but I do feel your pain. I drove pass Halawa and saw the posters and banners and I could just feel the tears starting to come down my face... .
This morning as I passed 'Aiea Elementary, I stopped by to put some flowers there for her. I just want to let you know that my heart feels your pain and I send my aloha to you and the rest of the family.
Take care! God Bless!
Me ke Aloha,
Macy Perrin

Condolences from Las Vegas
I was deeply shocked to hear about what happened to Kahealani. It sickens me to no end to hear of how such a bright kid was denied her future and how her family has to suffer... . It saddens me very much...I've worked with kids for the better part of the last 12 years, and words cannot express how heartbreaking this is. It's simply not fair.
My deepest and sincerest condolences to Kahealani's family and friends.
