CW2 Jayson Yang returned home for two weeks of R&R on Oct. 5. He was met at Gate 18 by his wife, Cindy, and daughter Kayci and later was greeted by other family members and friends at baggage claim. Jayson has been deployed to Iraq since January and is based at Camp Cooke with his fellow aviators and support troops from the 1st Battalion, 25th Aviation Regiment, 25th Infantry Division (Light).

This is Gregory Young of Kane'ohe, right, deployed to Kuwait roughly two months ago. He is pictured with his father, Wallace, middle, and older brother Michael.
I don't know what division of the Army in which he serves, nor do I know his rank within the Armed Forces. What I do know, however, is my uncle's love of Saturday morning cartoons, his strange habit of eating dry cereal accompanied by any beverage other than milk and the frequency with which he visits my grandparents, usually resulting in him tending the yard my grandpa can no longer keep up with.
For these reasons, and more, he is, and will be, continuously missed and worried over. Although I don't agree with this war, I do respect his commitment and willingness to serve this country in the face of its many risks. And until he returns, every time a cartoon happens across my TV screen, animated with color and silliness, my thoughts will be of him.
