I would like to say hello to my loving wife, Sarah, in Morris, Minn., my parents, Mike and Phyllis, in Davenport, N.Y., and also to the rest of my friends and family. I love and miss all of you very much. It feels good to be here in Kirkuk trying to help the local population out. We meet a lot of friendly people out in the towns and get a lot of cooperation with our missions. Being a medic, I am always expecting the worst but hoping for the best. I want to thank all of the Americans who support the troops over here in Iraq. It really makes a difference to know we have your support. Keep all of us in your prayers and everything will work out fine. I can't wait to be back with my family once again.

Spc. Joseph Oliver, age 20, Davenport, N.Y.; Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, combat medic
