I want to say hello to my parents, Erasmo and Apoliona Ortiz, and to my brothers Joe and Ernest and my sisters
Sonia and Jennifer. I’m fine and having a good time at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. I love my job and this is not a hard deployment. We have a morale center where we can watch movies, and we have Internet capabilities. On the weekends they have a dance night. We don’t go into town, but on Fridays they have a bazaar for souvenir shopping. I look forward to seeing my family again when I get back, and to finishing school. Right now I’m working toward my degree in criminal justice.
