For all the families who have soldiers deployed, be proud ... because they are doing a great job. While Afghanistan truly is a Third World country, as a general rule, the people are very appreciative of our efforts and all the coalition forces. I’m sure we’ll enjoy living the remainder of our year at an altitude a mile above O‘ahu’s. But I look forward to returning to my ‘ohana, the sight of paved roads, riding my motorcycle to the North Shore and eating pizza.
