Age 36, Honolulu, Hawai'i Army National Guard, Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 1st Battalion, 487th Field Artillery in Kuwait, logistics officer. Civilian job: Works full time with the Hawai'i National Guard as an equipment specialist.

I’d like to say hello to my wife, Kathleen. Thanks for having my baby, Kaitlyn, and it was great that I had the chance to go back and witness her birth on my R&R. To my other daughter, Zoe, I love you. My deployment is half over, and I can’t wait to see all my loved ones when I get back. This experience is really an eye-opener. This is my first time in this part of the world, and I’ve never seen so much sand.
