Dried fish makes up for missed catch

By Jan TenBruggencate
Advertiser Science Writer

We missed at least two fish today. One hit a port handline and was gone before anyone got to it. A mahimahi of about 25 pounds hit a starboard handline about noon, but after a couple of spashing leaps, it threw the hook and sailed away.

We still have dried fish from a previous day's catch.
