Retired firefighters endorsing Lingle

The 800-member Honolulu Fire Department Retirees Association yesterday endorsed Republican Linda Lingle for governor and her running mate James "Duke" Aiona for lieutenant governor.

In making the endorsement, association president and retired Fire Chief Donald Chang said Lingle has "demonstrated that she is able to work successfully with business, labor, the community and the Legislature."
