BURGERS AND BARBECUE

KIAWE GRILL

In Hawai'i, barbecue as often as not means Asian-style marinated and grilled meats, in this case, Korean-style kalbi, but also steaks, chops, pork, beef, burgers and chicken. And here — a rarity — they're seared over a kiawe-wood-burning fire. Also unusual: The side salads and vegetables are self-serve.
