2004 'ILIMA AWARD WINNER
Each year, we ask readers of The Honolulu Advertiser to vote for the restaurants they judge best. And the 2004 winners are ...

Best Restaurant, Maui County
LONGHI'S, Lahaina and Wailea

Bob Longhi, an individualist who introduced Maui to upscale Italian food and spoken menus, now operates three Longhi's (Lahaina, Wailea, Ala Moana on O'ahu) with his children and not much has changed since1976, when Longhi ditched the insurance business to buy a failing Greek restaurant on Front Street. The cheese is real, they're not afraid of butter and most dishes are made to order. Try prawns amaretto or filet longhi, the signatures.
