The fine-dining restaurant at the Turtle Bay Resort (a.k.a. "North Shore's" Grand Waimea) makes the drive to Kahuku worthwhile, with gorgeous ocean views (try to be seated at sunset) and a contemporary Amerasian surf and turf menu overseen by chef Steven L. Falsetti. Starters are particularly delicious here: foie gras pot stickers, pan-seared scallops, opakapaka sashimi laced with smoked peanut oil, shrimp satay. Or try the five-course tasting menu.
