FINE DINING

When it's time to dine (as opposed to just eat), these are O'ahu's most revered places.

AARON'S ATOP THE ALA MOANA

A previous 'Ilima Award winner for its service and penthouse views of Honolulu and Waikiki, the flagship of Aaron Placourakis' Hawai'i-based Tri-Star Restaurant Group characterizes the chain's style: contemporary American cuisine in generous portions and attentive but not intimidating service. Aaron's offers longer dinner hours than many places and a lively late-night bar with live music.
