  BRUNCH

The wealth of large hotel dining rooms in Hawai'i mean there are breakfast buffets and brunches everywhere. We've picked three favorites, but there are many other choices. (Prices quoted are as of fall 2005; subject to change.)

Duke's Canoe Club, Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach

Duke's Canoe Club is the quintessential beach restaurant, favored by both visitors and residents for a multitude of reasons: the ocean views and indoor- outdoor dining, steaks and seafood at night, a great low-priced Sunday brunch, live music in the bar (even the odd Jimmy Buffett concert!).

The daily breakfast buffet at Duke's, a relaxed beach-front restaurant that's perennially packed, is one of the best bargains in town at $12.95 per person. This includes an egg station, pancakes, meats, cereals, breads and rice, plus two beverages. The view of the hotel pool, Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach are free.
