This group of restaurants is owned by a Vietnamese-American family and got its start when cooks who had worked with popular Italian chef Cass Castagnola decided to go out on their own. The menus still include some of Castagnola's creations, such as Sicilian Chicken (crisp-skinned, garlicky roast chicken tossed with peppers and potatoes). The family-friendly, value-priced menu is heavy on pastas with a wide variety of sauces and additions. The hot bread is so good it's hard not fill up on it. And the salad with marinated vegetables is a favorite.
