"How can anyone be expected to govern a country with 325 cheeses?" wondered Gen. Charles de Gaulle along with les freres Padovani, who list the quote on their menu. The finesse of these Frenchmen is apparent in such details, along with offerings of pan-fried weke with foie gras and roasted Muscovy duck with pickled ginger-plum sauce that dance deftly between Mediterranean and Hawai'i Regional flavors, sweeping you off your feet. An entire vegetarian menu and dessert selections that read like some restaurants' menus make a meal at this refined dining room an experience to be savored.
