  FINE DINING

It's difficult, sometimes, to differentiate fine dining from casual in Hawai'i — restaurants here are rarely formal and less than a handful have a dress code. When we think of fine dining, however, we think of careful attention to detail, in food, in service, in surroundings.

Palomino Restaurant, Rotisseria And Bar

Palomino's interior oozes appeal and whispers of power and money as voluminous glass ceiling lights cast a glow on the fiery, warm tones of the dining room. The very stylish bar area ably suits downtown's pau hana-pupu people while the Euro-American menu follows the dictates of the corporate Mainland chain, allowing for a minimal local deviation (hulihuli chicken served on Roma-style pizza from its brick oven or slow-roasted from its Tuscan-style rotisserie). The tomato relish with the housemade thinbread is positively addictive.
