  CASUAL DINING

When we're not in a dress-up mood, when it's lunch with a friend or dinner with a crowd, when we want to eat well without breaking the bank, these are the restaurants we choose.

Café Laufer

Not just for the Kaimuki ladies-who-lunch crowd, it's the daily-made fine desserts that draw regulars to this cafe. Light meals of salads, soups, sandwiches and specials such as grilled bratwurst with sauerkraut or homemade pates preface classic sweets of Pear Helene, French apple tart and coconut chiffon cake. The slightly stark setting of the dining area begins to seem quite gracious once you dig into dessert.
