Popular for quick, freshly prepared plate lunches, the three I Love Country Cafes offer a spate of daily specials, takeout and even catering. Popular with fitness buffs, I Love Country was one of the first places to offer low-fat, vegetarian, high-protein and other healthful plate lunch options.

Three locations: 451 Pi'ikoi, near Ala Moana Center, 596-8108, 8 a.m.-9 p.m. daily; Pearl Harbor Navy Exchange, 423-6555, 7 a.m.-9 p.m. daily; and I Love Country Express, Kahala Mall, 4211 Wai'alae Ave., 735-6965, 8 a.m.- 8:30 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
