2005 'ILIMA AWARD WINNER - BEST FINE-DINING RESTAURANT

In the 10th anniversary year of the 'Ilima Awards, these are the restaurants that turned the heads of our readers and our in-house food experts.

BEST FINE-DINING RESTAURANT
The Bistro at Century Center

Cocooned in a dimly lighted booth at The Bistro, sipping champagne and listening to Tennyson Stephens at the Steinway, you feel sure that one of the Rat Pack is about to reincarnate and saunter in at any moment. Though it opened in 2003, this lunch and dinner house is a return to the days of elegance and expense accounts, with tuxedo-clad waiters, tableside flambes and a menu of nostalgic French and Continental classics — French onion soup, escargot in butter and garlic, Steak Diane and Crepes Suzette among them. Expert service.
