  CASUAL DINING

When we're not in a dress-up mood, when it's lunch with a friend or dinner with a crowd, when we want to eat well without breaking the bank, these are the restaurants we choose.

Ryan's Grill

Ryan's Grill is favored for business lunches, as a sports bar and for dinner. Here, Conrad Nakamoto of Kailua and Jodie Nakamitsu of Kahala chat.
Rebecca Breyer | The Honolulu Advertiser

Ever-popular Ryan's packs locals into its spacious interior for a multitude of reasons — hanging out, celebrating a special occasion, having a business lunch. Pupu noshers, drinks fiends, beer guzzlers, gourmet types, salad samplers, pizza-pasta people and carnivores all find something on the menu. Limited outdoor seating and a laid- back atmosphere with easygoing but attentive service makes Ryan's a frequent answer to "Eh, where you guys wanna meet?" Kalua pork pizza or quesadillas, Kobe beef hamburger steak, that classic three-salad sampler call our name.
