  BAKERIES

Take a look around any interisland airport terminal, and you'll see folks toting grease-stained bakery boxes tied with string or suspended in plastic bags. We just love our baked goods, and we love to give them as gifts. Here are some of our favorite O'ahu bakeries, with their specialties.

Mary Catherine's Bakery

Although they're known for their extraordinary custom wedding cakes, Mary Catherine's, located in an odd, old building at the confluence of King and Wai'alae, also can do you a darn fine scone and coffee snack. They make a full range of baked goods and — a rarity these days — everything tastes as rich and delicate as it looks.
