  BREAKFAST, BRUNCH, BUFFET

Islanders are inordinately fond of the three "Bs" — breakfast, brunch, buffet. When The Advertiser sent out a call for nominees for best breakfast spot a while back, we got an avalanche, with many strong opinions. And because we are so volume- and value-conscious, brunches and buffet spreads have strong appeal.

The Banyan Veranda

The dessert table at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider Banyan Veranda offers much to choose from. But it's not just the food at this gracious restaurant that attracts. Enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean, and strolling musicians.
DEBORAH BOOKER | The Honolulu Advertiser

The L-shaped veranda of Waikiki's oldest hotel is still one of the most gracious places in the Islands at which to linger and enjoy a meal and the view, particularly the lavish champagne Sunday buffet. It's got everything, including strolling musicians. (Caution: Do not try this without a reservation.)
