  BREAKFAST, BRUNCH, BUFFET

Islanders are inordinately fond of the three "Bs" — breakfast, brunch, buffet. When The Advertiser sent out a call for nominees for best breakfast spot a while back, we got an avalanche, with many strong opinions. And because we are so volume- and value-conscious, brunches and buffet spreads have strong appeal.

Orchids, Halekulani hotel

Oceanside Orchids is known for exceptional business lunches and East-West fine dining in the evenings, but it's most popular with locals for its Sunday brunch.
