CASUAL DINING
| When we don't want to dress up, when the budget is a bit busted, when we're hanging out with the gang, these are the restaurants we choose. There's considerable variation among them in price, food style and atmosphere, but all cultivate a relaxed feeling and, in most cases, there's no need for reservations or anything fancier than T-shirt and slippers. |

A Taste of New York Deli & Market |
A Taste of New York has an authenticity problem: The people are just too darn nice to be New Yorkers there's none of that "eat-it-and-beat-it" spirit here. But the monstrously large deli sandwiches with Russian dressing and coleslaw, the Dr. Brown sodas, the towering New York cheesecakes all shout "Big Apple." In 2006, Michelle and Sonny Acedo added a new incarnation: A Taste of New York Steakhouse, open nightly for dinner serving dry-aged Angus beef from Chicago.
