CASUAL DINING
|
| When we don't want to dress up, when the budget is a bit busted, when we're hanging out with the gang, these are the restaurants we choose. There's considerable variation among them in price, food style and atmosphere, but all cultivate a relaxed feeling and, in most cases, there's no need for reservations or anything fancier than T-shirt and slippers. |

Who knew you can get a decent Cuban sandwich in Manoa? This little joint serves a sandwich hit parade — from delectably messy meatball subs to cheesy burgers. This used to be Bonacasa's. A Chinese family bought it, kept the menu, and the hoagie torch continues to fly.
Manoa Marketplace, 2752 Woodlawn Drive, No. 5-118. 988-2685. 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday; 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday. VS, MC. No checks. $.
