  CASUAL DINING

When we don't want to dress up, when the budget is a bit busted, when we're hanging out with the gang, these are the restaurants we choose. There's considerable variation among them in price, food style and atmosphere, but all cultivate a relaxed feeling and, in most cases, there's no need for reservations or anything fancier than T-shirt and slippers.

Jackie's Kitchen

Flagship of the Jackie Chan chain, this restaurant is as much about souvenirs, videos and specialty drinks as it is about food. Closed briefly for renovations and an updated menu in late summer 2006, the place remains busy, noisy, kinda fun (especially with hard-to-please 'tweens). We didn't expect much of the food but have been consistently pleased with the contemporary Asian cuisine — we especially like to nosh pupu here during shopping breaks.
